Interested in Representing your Community as a Fire District Board Member?
The Cimarron Hills Fire Protection District is governed by a 5-person Board of Directors. The Fire Chief is appointed by the Board of Directors to manage all aspects of the Fire Department, including Operations and Personnel. The Board, the Fire Chief, and Staff work together to establish vision and strategic planning for the benefit of the Cimarron Hills Community. Regular Director terms are 4 years.
The Board generally meets once a month to review financial and department activity, and to ensure both community and department needs are being met.
Eligibility to serve as a Board Director
- Candidate must be registered to vote in Colorado AND
- Candidate must be a resident of the District OR be the owner (or spouse/civil union partner of owner) of real or personal taxable property within the District in their (natural person) name.
