Fire Chief Andrew York
Andrew started his fire service career at the age of 14 as a cadet for the Cordry-Sweetwater Volunteer Fire Department in Indiana. He grew up around the fire service, with both of his parents being firefighters and his inspiration for helping others. He left Indiana to join the United States Army where he served as a Soldier and Firefighter for 5 years, including one 15-month tour in Iraq. Andrew was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant and was hired by the Fort Carson Fire Department where he attained the rank of Assistant Fire Chief. Prior to joining Cimarron Hills as a Division Chief in 2017, he served as the Deputy Chief for Southwest Hwy 115 Fire Department here in El Paso County.
Andrew has a Masters Degree in Emergency Services Management and has been granted designation as a Fire Officer through the Center for Public Safety Excellence.
